"As an Optician you get to help people see."

Print Testimonial"As an Optician, you get to meet and help people see. As a newbie (rookie optician), one night after about two months on the job, the boss thought I could handle the office and gave me the keys to close the shop down. Thirty minutes before closing, a young lady came in to pick up her glasses. She had never worn glasses before. I dispensed her glasses to her and all she could say was 'Wow!' Twenty minutes later she came back in and was crying. Thinking like a rookie, I said, 'What's the matter?' She choked back her tears and said, 'I just want to thank you for helping me to see individual leaves on the trees.' Twenty years later, I own my own Optical business and still get a warm feeling in my heart when someone picks up their new glasses and says 'Wow!'"

"My granddaughter was in 3rd grade and still having a difficult time learning to read."

Print Testimonial “My granddaughter was in 3rd grade and still having a difficult time learning to read. We did not suspect her vision was causing the problem because she always had her eyes tested at school each year. We decided to have her eyes checked by a doctor who does more extensive testing, and sure enough, she was farsighted. She also has done some vision therapy and her reading is continuing to improve.”

"When my daughter was 11 months old, I noticed her eyes looking similar to what I would call "lazy eye."

Print Testimonial "When my daughter was 11 months old, I noticed her eyes looking similar to what I would call "lazy eye." She hadn't crawled or anything like that yet, and her eye was getting worse to the point it seemed to be stuck inward toward her nose. Over time, the other eye started to show the same signs."

"At her 1-year check up, I told the doctor about it and was given the name of a Pediatric Opthalmologist, but said they might not accept her as a patient until she was 18 months old. When I called the Pediatric Opthalmologist and explained the issue, they scheduled an appointment for the following day. The Pediatric Opthalmologist saw nothing wrong at first glance—not even a lazy eye! But, after dialating her eyes during her complete eye exam, he stated, "There is a problem. Your child is severely farsighted in both eyes." Of course, you never want anything to be wrong with your child, but I felt relief to know that it was easy to fix!"

"The doctor told me that this severe farsightedness was most likely interfering with her depth perception. Since she got her glasses, she scoots around and is almost walking by herself at 14 months old! Now, her eyes only turn in occasionally if she is tired."

"It was rough getting her to keep her glasses on, but now that she realizes what they do for her, she doesn't mind them—and even pushes them up by herself when they slip down her little nose!"

"You can take your child to the eye doctor no matter how young they are and get help from the very beginning! I am so grateful I took her to the eye doctor and recommend other parents take their children, too, whether they notice a problem or not!"

"As a retired vision therapist I am excited to see this web page."

Print Testimonial "As a retired vision therapist I am excited to see this web page. I saw a commercial on television which led me here. I hope all parents with children who are experiencing any kind of behavioral issues or related to their child's education are somehow led to this page. I used to tell my clients their children came into therapy like a chicken, but left as an eagle—they could soar anywhere and accomplish any goal in life. Having had the experience and education to work with those children and help them to achieve their miracles has been a passion in my life. I am truly grateful. The visual skills required to learn without stress are not complex, but unfortunately the average parent has not been exposed to the information. Hopefully, by having this commercial on the television, it will catch the attention of those who have suffered from learning difficulties. In the 21st century, it is absolutely necessary to read to be able to succeed! Thank you."

"This past spring my younger sister who is in her early 40s frantically called me saying that all of the sudden she could not see."

Print Testimonial "This past spring my younger sister who is in her early 40s frantically called me saying that all of the sudden she could not see. She proceeded to tell me that she could not see anything that was not directly in front of her. I immediately brought her in to see the optometrist that I work for. I took her back and performed a visual fields test and there was significant loss of peripheral vision in both eyes. I left her in the exam room and proceeded to explain my concern to the doctor. He examined her and suspected it was due to a pitiuary brain tumor. He immediately sent her to a Neurologist who confirmed his diagnosis and performed surgery less than a week later removing a tumor the size of a baseball. We were told that this was a slow growing tumor that had been growing at least 10 years! This timeline directly coincided with her last eye examination—had she been having routine examinations the tumor would have been detected long ago. She has regained almost all of her vision and is now committed to annual examinations."
